Need to remove a client from active operations without permanently deleting their data? Marking a client as inactive in Facility is the way to go! You can do this directly from the client's profile page. Once inactive, the client won't be able to log in to their portal or app, and they'll be hidden from regular operations — but all their records are safely retained for future reference. This is especially handy for managing duplicate client profiles.

Here's how to do it — from the client's profile, click the blue "Quick Actions" button and select "Make Inactive":
A confirmation pop-up will appear with two helpful options to choose from:
Delete all future scheduled services — When checked, Time To Pet will automatically delete any upcoming scheduled events for this client that haven't already been cancelled or completed.
Delete templates — When checked, Time To Pet will automatically delete any service templates set up for this client. Note: this option only appears if the client has at least one template.
Changed your mind? No problem — you can reactivate the client at any time by following these instructions.
FAQs
Q: How should I handle duplicate client profiles?
Mark any duplicates as inactive! This hides them from regular operations while keeping their scheduled events and data safely retained for reference — a clean, simple solution.
Q: Can I mark clients as inactive in bulk?
At this time, clients need to be marked inactive one by one — bulk inactivation is not yet available.
Q: Can I delete client profiles?
It's not possible to delete client profiles (Can I Permanently Delete Data in Time To Pet?). Marking clients as inactive essentially does the same thing.
Q: Do clients get a notification when I mark them as inactive?
Nope! Clients will not receive any notification when they are marked as inactive.
Q: What does marking a client as inactive do?
Once marked inactive, the client can no longer log into their app or portal. They won't be able to make payments, request services, or access their profile.
Q: What happens if I only make a client inactive in one of my softwares (I have both In-Home and Facility)?
Making a client inactive in only one software (e.g., Facility) will only remove their access to that software. To fully remove their portal and app access, they'll also need to be made inactive in In-Home.
