Facility: Managing Vets

Learn how to add and manage vets in Time To Pet Facility.

One of the most challenging situations a facility may face is a medical emergency involving a pet in their care. In those moments, having accurate, up-to-date veterinarian information is critical. Clients sometimes make mistakes or leave details out when entering their vet's information, so it's important to keep those records current.

To help with this, Time To Pet Facility lets you add all the local vets in your area. Once added, clients can select their primary vet β€” and even a secondary vet β€” right from their pet's profile.

Note: Since clients cannot add a new vet on their own, make sure the vet field is either not required or includes a "Vet Not Listed" option. That way, if a client's vet isn't on your list, they can note it in the comments section and you can add the vet for them.


To add your local vets, navigate to the Vet List section of your account (Clients tab in the left sidebar):

From the Vet List, click the "+ New Vet" button to add a vet. Include as much detail as possible.

When finished, click Save Changes.

Once you've added your local vets, clients can select their vet right from their Client Portal. In the Pets tab, they can edit their pet's profile and choose a primary or alternate vet.

You can also add or update a client's vet directly from their Client Profile page.
