Just like Client Data, all of your company's pet data can be exported into a spreadsheet. You can do this by going to your Main Client List in the dashboard.
Check out our video on Exporting Client, Pet, and Pet Birthday data!
The "Export Pet Data" button is located at the very bottom of the Clients and Pets pages.
Clicking the button will open a panel where you can select what fields you want to export, and you can choose to include pets of inactive clients, deceased pets, or inactive pets. In addition to the fields you select here, the exported file will also include the name and email address of the client to which each pet belongs.

Exporting Pet Data By Birth Date
Pet data can also be exported directly from the Pet List, which allows you to first filter by birth date. This can be useful if you want to send out a card or email to all pets with upcoming birthdays.
The "Filter Birth Date" dropdown menu allows you to search for pets whose birthdays are before or after a certain date or between two dates.
Once you've selected your dates, click the "Refresh" button to update the list and then the "Download" button to export the pet data. This will download a spreadsheet of all pet profile fields and the name and email address of the client for each pet with a birthday within the range you selected.
Other Uses for Pet Data Exports
Exporting pet data isn't just useful within Time To Pet β it can also power meaningful client engagement and marketing efforts outside of the platform. Because the exported spreadsheet includes each pet's breed, type, and birth date alongside their client's contact information, you can use that data to send personalized cards or emails for pet birthdays and holidays. For example, you could filter pets with upcoming birthdays to send a birthday card or a special promotion to those clients, making your business feel more personal and attentive.
The breed and type fields are especially valuable for creating targeted, fun campaigns around pet-themed holidays and awareness days. For instance, if you want to celebrate National Dog Breed Day, you can sort or filter the exported spreadsheet by the "Breed" column to see which breeds you care for most. This lets you quickly identify your top breeds, reach out to those clients with a tailored message or offer, or even share a fun social media post highlighting the most popular breeds in your care. The same approach works for any breed- or species-specific day, such as National Black Cat Day or National Dachshund Day, helping you connect with the right clients at the right time.
